Continuous Spools
It appears we will not be offering spools for the forseeable future, we are sad to report. The fellow who winds the spools has decided he's wound his last spool. We will try to persuade him otherwise, however, because we are extremely fond of our spools. You can save time and effort using lead cames wound on spools. The space required for these spools is much less than for the normal six foot box. The spool can be mounted at the end of your workbench, and several spools of different types can be arranged on the same axle.
There is no possibility of the lead becoming tangled or damaged, and much larger amounts of lead can be stored in smaller spaces. The slight additional cost for cames wound onto spools is repaid through the savings in handling and waste. The further advantage of buying smaller quantities of an assortment is certain to attract the interest of anyone not heretofore in a position to buy lead cames in full cases.
