Do you charge a boxing fee for shipping glass?
No. For all our packages, glass or otherwise, we charge you what UPS charges us, plus a small handling fee (50 cents, a dollar, or thereabouts). One exception is zinc or lead. If you want your zinc or lead to be shipped in straight, 6-foot lengths, we have to charge you an extra $12 to cover the extra charge from UPS and the special packaging.
Oh no! I made a mistake!! I didn't mean to buy 100 Glass Grinders! I used a debit card so now I'll be overdrawn! Woe is me!!
Ok, take a deep breath.
We don't charge your card until we are ready to ship. However, we do authorize your card at the time of your original purchase. So, your first step is to tell us about your mistake so we can void the authorization. Then tell your bank. They might put a hold on that amount for 7-14 days. They might cancel the transaction.
If I order a 12" x 16" piece of glass for my kitchen cabinet door will it fit properly? Thanks.

The glass we sell on the www.whittemoredurgin.com website is intended for stained glass hobbyists. Hobbyists cut the glass pieces into smaller pieces for stained glass work. We create them by taking full sheets of glass and cutting them into some number of 12 x 16 pieces without incurring any waste. Because the original sheet sizes that we get from the manufacturer are approximate, each piece we cut may be off by as much as 3/4 of an inch. We do not trim the big sheets before cutting, so the 12 x 16 pieces are not necessarily perfectly square, and may even have chipped edges. In addition, for patterned glass that has a direction, the direction may be vertical or horizontal. Finally, we do not cut around any defects in the glass, so the pieces may have scratches or other defects in them. For stained glass hobbyists, these factors are generally not an issue.
Our other website, www.whittemoreglass.com, is for custom-cut glass for kitchen cabinet doors, transoms, and other windows. This glass is guaranteed to be cut within 1/16 of an inch, and will be square, have the requested direction for patterned glass, and will have no chipped edges or defects such as scratches.
