Not sure where to begin? We've put together some tool collections to help you get started. The Standard Tool Kit contains the basics. If you want to move beyond the basics, we've designed the Deluxe Tool Kit as the perfect complement to the Standard kit. This collection of tools and materials is the perfect complement to our Standard Tool Kit (#5000) or our Deluxe Tool Kit (#5001) for anyone who wants to get started in leaded glass. We include:

  • lead nippers
  • a lead straightener
  • lead pattern shears
  • a dozen horseshoe nails
  • a double-faced soft mallet
  • a plastic fid
  • a lead knife
  • black patina for lead

In addition, you get the tools and consumables needed if you should want to cement your finished piece for strength and waterproofing:

  • stained glass cementing putty

And lastly, you get lamp black and whiting, with which you can make your own stained glass cement (with the addition of linseed oil and turpentine, not included).
